Leisure Lakes Bikes was established 30 years ago, in 1981, by the four ‘Noy’ brothers with a great passion for the outdoors. We have expanded to seven shops nationwide, a dedicated mail order centre and there are now two generations of the Noy family working throughout the company – We really are a family business.
Where It All Began
After building our Preston shop, with their own hands, ‘the Noy brothers’ ran a windsurfing school on the neighbouring lake for 10 years whilst offering a wide range of windsurfing, snowboarding and skating equipment.
The interest in mountain biking came initially from needing an alternative activity when light winds made windsurfing tedious. This was when they decided to offer customers a great variety of specialist mountain bikes and bike accessories.
Leisure Lakes in Southport near Preston, is our first and original of seven bike stores and where it all truly began. Here we are surrounded by trails and paths which has held numerous mountain biking races over the years that were extremely popular for all ages.
